Due i momenti di approfondimento: il primo, che organizzato con la società di consulenza strategica Focus Management, è dedicato al mondo delle aziende, il secondo, invece, alla società civile e al suo racconto da parte dei media, per fare il punto sulla diversità e inclusione in Italia e scoprire, in una ricca pluralità di voci grazie all’intervento di esperti ed esperte del settore e ospiti d’eccellenza, l’effetto domino che questa nuova situazione ha avuto sulla vita delle persone.
«Per la prima volta nella storia contemporanea – così Francesca Vecchioni – l’emergenza ha creato un’inedita comunanza planetaria all’insegna della vulnerabilità e della paura. La paura si è tradotta in distanza, non solo fisica, anche sociale ed emotiva. L’esclusione ha colpito in modo più duro quelle fasce di popolazione che vengono ritenute minoranze ma minoranze non sono. Ora abbiamo una grande opportunità, quella di comprendere davvero qual è il potenziale di tutto questo: dare spazio a voci diverse dalla propria, coltivare un confronto rispettoso, moltiplicare i punti di vista, ascoltare storie che non sapevamo di voler e dover conoscere»
La due giorni è iniziata oggi, alle ore 16,00 con la 3° edizione del Diversity Brand Summit, evento che riunisce e premia i brand più inclusivi emersi dal Diversity Brand Index, progetto di ricerca volto a misurare la capacità delle aziende di sviluppare con efficacia una cultura orientata alla diversity & inclusion ponendo nello scenario attuale un accento ancora più forte sul tema come elemento strategico per l’attività delle aziende. L’evento, ideato da Diversity e da Focus Mgmt, società di consulting esperta sul tema del branding e del trust, è stato condotto da Debora Villa per la prima volta in formato digitale, grazie alla collaborazione con la Commissione Europea, al Patrocinio Comune di Milano e alla partnership con Extra.it e Rödl & Partner.
Sul palco virtuale si sono alternati gli interventi di numerosi ospiti come l’autrice e strategy advisor Frances West, la delegata alle Pari Opportunità del Comune di Milano, Daria Colombo, Sandro Castaldo, professore dell’Università Bocconi, Marco Bettucci (professore presso Sda Bocconi e partner di Asset), Alberto Macciani (esperto di Brand e strategia di impresa) e Nicola Palmarini, director presso Uk’s National Innovation Centre for Ageing.
Il focus si sposterà invece sulla società civile nella seconda giornata degli Stati Generali, trasmessa venerdì 19 dalle ore 18.00 sui canali social di Diversity (@diversitylab). Drusilla Foer e Francesca Vecchioni tesseranno la trama delle “Tales of quaratine”, un racconto in 5 capitoli, ciascuno dedicato ad un tema, del periodo di lockdown che vuole sensibilizzare l’opinione pubblica e il mondo dei media verso una rappresentazione valorizzante e inclusiva della società rispetto ai temi della diversity & inclusion.
Si partirà dal tema della famiglia per parlare di omogenitorialità, congiunti e didattica a distanza insieme alla consigliera del Comune di Milano Sumaya Abdel Qader, all’attrice comica e mamma Katia Follesa e allo scrittore e papà Luca Trapanese. Gender gap, smart working e status socio-economico saranno al centro del talk dedicato al Lavoro che vede la partecipazione dell’attore e presentatore Luca Bizzarri, dell’attivista Antonella Bundu e della filosofa Maura Gancitano.
In un momento in cui l’agenda mediatica è stata stravolta dalla pandemia, tra cronaca e politica, non poteva mancare un momento di confronto dedicato all’Informazione, con un focus su come i media hanno raccontato le persone e le fasce di popolazione che rientrano nel concetto di diversity.
Diversity e l’Osservatorio di Pavia presenteranno un’edizione straordinaria a tema Covid-19 del Diversity Media Report, la ricerca annuale sulla rappresentazione delle persone e dei temi per genere e identità di genere, orientamento sessuale e affettivo, età, disabilità ed etnia nei media italiani.
Chi sono gli Invisibili del Covid-19? A parlare di over 65 e giovanissimi saranno l’influencer Licia Fertz (classe 1930) insieme alle protagoniste de Il Collegio, Nicole Rossi e Lucia Gravante, e a Ludovico Bessegato, regista della serie cult SKAM (vincitrice di un Diversity Media Awards). Ultimo capitolo sarà quello dell’Isolamento, tra disabilità ed etnia, identità di genere e orientamento sessuale e affettivo insieme alle influencer e attiviste Valentina Tomirotti (Pepitosa) e Muriel, e Cathy La Torre, avvocata e attivista Lgbtq+.
Cifra stilistica di tutti gli eventi firmati da Diversity è l’intrattenimento: agli interventi degli ospiti si alterneranno clip video e contributi di influencer e web star come The Pozzolis Family e Michela Giraud. A Jo Squillo è affidato il dj set del party virtuale #useyourpower, supportato da Absolut e Peachtree che firmano per l’occasione la ricetta di un cocktail speciale, un momento di divertimento e impegno per un futuro inclusivo e rispettoso. Più di 100 influencer e personaggi del mondo dello spettacolo e della società civile sono chiamati ad aderire all’iniziativa di Diversity e a contribuire veicolando messaggi di inclusione.
