Sarà inaugurata domani a Palermo, alle ore 19:00, presso Palazzo Sant’Elia (via Maqueda, 81) la mostra fotografica Stonewall: the Temple in occasione del 50° anniversario degli omonimi moti newyorkesi.
Alla cerimonia d’apertura saranno presenti Shawn Baxter, capo sezione Stampa e Cultura, Sezione Affari Pubblici del Consolato Generale degli Stati Uniti a Napoli, Adham Darawsha, assessore alle Culture del Comune di Palermo, Antonello Sannino, consigliere nazionale di Arcigay Napoli, e Daniela Tomasino di Arcigay Palermo.
Aperta fino al 20 luglio, l’esposizione si comporrà di 30 scatti (40×50 cm circa, in verticale), realizzati dal positanese Vito Fusco nella settimana precedente il Pride di New York del 2016. Le immagini sono state scattate nello storico locale Stonewall Inn di Christopher Street a New York, scenario della più importante, la prima, rivoluzione della comunità Lgbt del 1969 e ancora ogg luogo iconico per la stessa.
Curata da Gloria Vitale, la mostra è organizzata da Arcigay Napoli con il supporto del Consolato Generale degli Stati Uniti a Napoli, in collaborazione con Arcigay Palermo e Fondazione Sant’Elia e con il patrocinio del Comune di Palermo.
