Sarà inaugurata domani al Palazzo Ducale di Massa, dove sarà visitabile fino al 24 febbraio, la mostra Storytelling a cura di Ivan Quaroni.
Patrocinata dal Comune di Massa, l’esposizione presenterà 45 opere ad acrilico su tela di vari formati, provenienti per lo più da collezioni private e frutto dei dieci ultimi anni di attività, di Giuseppe Veneziano. Classe 1971, l’artista mazzarinese, ma vivente da 16 anni a Milano, è considerato uno dei massimi esponenti della New Pop italiana e del gruppo Italian Newbrow.
Veneziano esporrà per la prima volta l’opera Lgbt, che raffigura Gesù Cristo in slip leopardati col marchio Dolce&Gabbana, mentre sulla croce al posto della scritta Inri compare l’acronimo riferentesi alle persone lesbiche, gay, bisessuali, trans.
«Potrebbe essere un Cristo gay? Perché no? Per me gli uomini e le donne sono tutti uguali – così l’artista, non nuovo a opere-provocazioni – e a me non importa che orientamento sessuale hanno. Mi aspetto critiche dalla Chiesa. Mentre dipingevo questo quadro, sapevo che avrei fatto irritare qualcuno. Ma l’arte non si può permettere di rappresentare solo tramonti o fiorellini».
Tra le altre opere esposte la serie Il massacro degli innocenti con Biancaneve che uccide i sette nani, Putin che alza il dito medio, la regina Elisabetta che indossa una t-shirt con scritto Italians do it better, Berlusconi con un’aureola formata dalle posizioni del Kamasutra.
