To Housing è il nuovo progetto di co-housing sociale che apre a Torino per accogliere persone Lgbti in difficoltà e in condizioni di estrema vulnerabilità.
Prima esperienza con queste caratteristiche in Italia, To Housing potrà accogliere 24 ospiti in 5 appartamenti di proprietà di Atc – Agenzia Territoriale per la Casa del Piemonte Centrale non destinati alle graduatorie per le case popolari.
Due parole chiave ispirano il progetto: riproducibilità e extraterritorialità. Il modello di lavoro del progetto, infatti, è sviluppato per consentirne la replicabilità anche in altri contesti e, sebbene l’epicentro del progetto sia Torino, To Housing ha carattere regionale e nazionale grazie al continuo scambio con le altre realtà regionali e nazionali del movimento Lgbti.
To Housing nasce non solo per rispondere all’emergenza abitativa ma anche per attivare, proprio a partire da un bisogno primario e fondamentale come la casa, percorsi di reinserimento sociale. Verranno accolti giovani tra i 18 e 26 anni allontanati dalle famiglie di origine a causa dell’orientamento sessuale; migranti e rifugiati omosessuali, anziani Lgbti in condizione di solitudine o povertà, persone transessuali e transgender.
To Housing è stato pensato per tutte e tutti coloro che vivono una condizione di doppia discriminazione – orientamento sessuale, origine etnica, età, condizione sociale – e si trovano in condizione di povertà e/o esclusione sociale. In questa prospettiva assicurare un luogo sicuro dove poter vivere rappresenta l’occasione per intraprendere un percorso di uscita dal disagio e di (re)inserimento socio-lavorativo.
Un’equipe di accoglienza composta da educatori, psicologi e assistenti sociali esaminerà le segnalazioni (che potranno arrivare anche in modo diretto contattando Quore al numero dedicato, che sarà attivo dalle 13:00 alle 18:00 e indicato sul sito da lunedì 17 dicembre, o scrivendo alla mail tohousing@quore.org), svolgerà il primo colloquio e valuterà l’accesso degli ospiti. La permanenza media prevista di 8 mesi potrà essere eventualmente estesa per completare il percorso di autonomia degli utenti.
Il progetto è realizzato dall’associazione Quore e può contare su una cooperazione virtuosa tra pubblico e privato. To Housing può contare sul supporto del Ministero del Lavoro e delle Politiche Sociali, della Regione Piemonte, del Consiglio Regionale del Piemonte, della Città di Torino, di Atc – Agenzia Territoriale per la Casa del Piemonte Centrale e sul sostegno di Ikea, Iren, Bentley Soa, Philips, Cooperativa Di Vittorio, La Banca delle Visite e Medi.ca.
